Five Blind Boys Of Mississippi – More Of Their Best (WTC)

A bargain priced selection of good songs, the best of which I believe is “Jesus Rose”. This was recorded after the tragic death of Archie Brownlee – but the Blind Boys keep his memory alive with a loving tribute to him on “In the Hands of the Lord”. Much good music here for the low price. I would recommend already having “Blind Boys Lost Album” to anyone who doesn’t already have it – and get this one, too, because Roscoe Robinson is a fine lead who had to follow perhaps the most dynamic singer who ever lived – he does an admirable job, as you will see.
